Josh Herring is a Singer/Songwriter from Birmingham, UK. He writes contemporary folk songs, singing about real people, relationships, struggles, communication and responsibility. Using simple musical ideas, he frames complicated thoughts in a relatable and often humorous way. With a background in composition, Josh’s arrangements accompany his honest, narrative lyrics which welcomes the listener into a world where they can be moved.


Now living in Copenhagen where he is studying for a masters in music creation, Josh is planning to release his debut album And Everyone, a beautifully considered collection of songs akin to the likes of Julia Holter, Patrick Watson and Sufjan Stevens, out on the 21st of June.


Josh’s songs Radio and Abraham Lincoln from his debut EP Yes/No were recently featured on BBC WM introducing, and has had music featured on Radio 6 with his previous band Steady Hands, who also made it to the final of The Big Music Project and performed to a panel of industry professionals at London’s Indigo2 venue.
